The “Shehnaazians” are in a frenzy after Shehnaaz Gill was spotted at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur on May 13, 2026. While the actress was there to witness the high-stakes RCB vs KKR clash, her presence has inadvertently triggered a wave of dating rumors involving Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s top-order batter, Devdutt Padikkal.
As videos of Shehnaaz enthusiastically cheering for the Bengaluru side went viral, fans began connecting the dots, wondering if her support for RCB was rooted in a “personal connection.”

The Raipur Appearance: What Actually Happened?
Shehnaaz Gill, known for her infectious energy, was seen in the stands wearing RCB colors and celebrating every boundary. Her excitement reached a peak during the match where Virat Kohli smashed a historic century to propel RCB to the top of the points table.
The Instagram Video
Fueling the fire, Shehnaaz posted a fun reel on her Instagram handle from the stadium, captioned with heart emojis and RCB slogans. The video, which has amassed millions of views, shows her dancing and cheering, leading fans to ask: Is she there for the team, or for someone specific?
The Link to Devdutt Padikkal
Speculation intensified on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, where users pointed toward Devdutt Padikkal. Padikkal, who returned to RCB in 2025 and has been in stellar form during the 2026 season, played a crucial knock of 39 off 27 balls in the match against KKR.
Despite the rumors, eagle-eyed fans noted a contradictory detail: Shehnaaz and Devdutt do not follow each other on Instagram. For many, this “digital distance” suggests the rumors might be nothing more than fan fiction.
Fan Reactions: Divided Stands
The internet remains split over the alleged pairing.
- The “Shippers”: Many fans expressed excitement at the prospect of a new “Cricket-Bollywood” power couple, citing Shehnaaz’s vibrant personality and Padikkal’s rising stardom as a perfect match.
- The Protectors: A large section of Shehnaaz’s fandom has come out in her defense, urging people to stop overanalyzing her life. “Can’t a woman just enjoy a cricket match without being linked to a player?” questioned one popular fan account.
- The Neutrals: Others pointed out that Shehnaaz has frequently attended various sporting events and high-profile parties, often supporting friends and brands rather than romantic interests.
Professional Front: What’s Next for Shehnaaz?
While the dating buzz dominates headlines, Shehnaaz remains focused on a packed professional calendar. Following the success of her 2025 Punjabi film Ikk Kudi, she is set to appear in:
- Singh vs Kaur 2: A highly anticipated Punjabi sequel.
- Sab First Class: A Hindi film that has been generating significant buzz in trade circles.
Current Status
As of now, neither Shehnaaz Gill nor Devdutt Padikkal has officially addressed the speculation. Until a statement is made, it appears Shehnaaz was simply doing what she does best—living life out loud and enjoying a thrilling game of cricket in Raipur.
The Verdict: While the chemistry between the stands and the pitch made for great social media content, there is currently no factual evidence to confirm a relationship between the actress and the cricketer.
What’s your take? Was Shehnaaz just a passionate RCB fan, or is there a new story brewing in the IPL?
