Record-Breaking Pass Percentage and Gender Gap

The overall pass percentage for 2026 reached 95.15%, a healthy increase from the 92.78% recorded in 2025. This rise is attributed to improved academic support and a more student-friendly exam pattern.

Once again, girls have outperformed boys, maintaining their consistent lead in academic excellence.

  • Girls Pass Percentage: 96.26%
  • Boys Pass Percentage: 94.07%

Notably, over 5,731 schools across Telangana achieved a perfect 100% pass result, showcasing the high standards of instruction in both rural and urban institutions.

District-Wise Performance: Mulugu Takes the Crown

District rankings are always a point of pride in Telangana. For 2026, Mulugu secured the top spot with an extraordinary 99.30% pass rate. Nagarkurnool and Nirmal followed closely, also recording pass rates above 99%.

In contrast, while Hyderabad produced a high volume of students with a perfect 10/10 GPA, it recorded the lowest overall pass percentage at 89.23%. This disparity highlights the intense competition in the capital compared to the high consistency seen in smaller districts.

Subject-Wise Analysis: Languages Lead the Way

Students showed exceptional strength in language papers this year. Telugu emerged as the best-performing subject with a 99.12% pass rate. Other subject highlights include:

  • Social Studies: 99.61%
  • General Science: 98.41%
  • Mathematics: 97.46%

For most subjects, the passing mark is 35%, while for Second Languages, students are required to secure at least 20% to qualify.

Understanding the TS SSC 9-Point Grading System
